The certificate on the wall is a bit difficult to read, but his name is Masuro Okuyama
and he was awarded a Gold Medal at the Wiesbaden shoemaker's competition (held every three years).

As he is quite a young men, I presume he won earlier this year and not three years ago.

At the bottom of the second to last page, he mentioned this gold medal, and it is indeed 2010.

wow those are a revelation, reminds me of the first time I saw a picture of high end English shoes and was floored by the sheer immaculate beauty. JL Ltd are the Rolls Royce of shoes

I do not like austerity stitching and feel that plain monks are boring. I also do not like grained leather

HOWEVER, these Bespoke Lobbs are gorgeous. It has made me rethink of acquiring a bespoke sample myself due to the austerity design matching well with the grained leather.

This is the beauty of this never ending shoe Appreciation thread, I get inspired by stuff I thought would not look good...and now I'll possibly get the same thing but in a darker brown leather....nice job Artoftime
