How many more shell pairs should we expect, and are you aportnoy's brother?

Peal Penny Loafers (does anyone knows if this model was made by C&J or Alfred Sargent?)

Definitely not. Those are C&J. Also, that color is hideous.

+1 but they are excellent candidates for a Rider treatment.

C&J - and that is the base color of all the corthay's before they patine them - go ahead and experiment.

ah, you may be right. No perforated line across the sole and no double nailing on the heel. The colour of the sole looked familiar. the colour could be nice if you dye it yourself.

Whole lotta shell!

I doubt he is aportnoys brother ( the rug is too different )

But a cousin of Tom at Leather Soul. Could be.

mcarthur, you do have a great shell collection.

Maybe time for a group picture of all of them. If you can not do this, then perhaps there is something to the aportnoy relative stuff

And the 348 is the roomiest last C&J offers - at least for me. I take a UK9.5 or 43.5 in most makes and lasts, but my feet really swim in the UK 9.5 Tetburys. I'd go a half size down.

Thanks for the warning but I own a couple of pairs of Crockett and Joneses. One of those is a pair of Grenvilles on the 358 last which, correct me if I'm wrong is quite similar to the 348. If I decide to buy a couple of Tetbury's I'll probably buy them from the same seller where I bought my Grenvilles. He'll see me right. I just haven't decided yet. Just that the next pair needs to be suede.

I'm going through the same phase. I like those.
