"SUBS" means "Sub standard" or "Seconds". They are shoes that C&J won't or can't sell at retail as there is something wrong with the shoe. Usually, even to the trained eye, you can't tell what's wrong with them. The sources these shoes were obtained from normally ensure that they are "as new", or it would be very clear during the sale.

This is the best way of creating a great shoe collection on a budget. The downside is it's often pot luck as to what turns up...

Got them at their Outlet in Schönenried for CHF 400. The Outlet is definitly worth a visit. i have never seen Scribes in Sale.

I think, not too hip on all the shoe terminology like you youngsters. they are by Heinrich Dinkelacker

I like the fit, my biggest issue with the fit of any shoes is the heel/shoe opening area. These are perfect in that regard, even untied they would not slip off. The vamp is a bit volumnious but my feet swell by the end of the day due to medication so I like a bit of room in the front.

All those Carminas are beautiful.
You should consider offering a patine/glaçage service like the Paris shop does
