There were talks of introducing a lower priced blake welted line but I'm not sure if they ever did so, I know I didn't see any in the store last time I was there.

fwiw, i have seen a dissected RTW corthay(pictures). quality was inferrior, even to i.e. AE. very poor.

i didn't see any either, and i was just there monday. you were right on the money when you told me in another thread that they were 850EU (thanks again for that, btw), and there were no other shoes for a lower price (there were some sick pairs of boots that were 950, though), so unless they just havent brought them out yet, i think they just have their normal RTW line and bespoke (MTM?). 850 Euro was a great price, i thought, for shoes with lasted trees that are patina'ed to your specifications. it would be even better if the X-rate to the USD goes south i do see the comments about their lightness, but that and their shape adds to their appeal for me. i thought that they would be too pointy for me but once i put them on my feet i thought they looked great and something very different from my JL and EG

Scotch grain shell ages very nicely, they loose the plastic-looking sheen after a bit of wear. I have a scotch grain shell #8 longwing from Rider similar to PG's, as well as another shoe and a chukka from him and a wingtip high boot from Alden. They all have aged quite nicely.

never been a fan of these procedures and do not buy too much into it. but the materials used for sole, heel and the inner parts(footbed etc.) look inferior, at least to me. certainly they are gemmed

additionally she claims, that the gyw machine was not adjusted properly. which would produce a range of estimately twenty to twentyfive pairs in "low" quality.
