Has anyone experienced Handmacher shoes? This is the first I have heard of them. Very intriguing and reasonably priced.

I'm going to buy those Blue shoes over the next couple of days, so I'll let you know & post pics when they arrive. Fingers crossed they are ok?!!

Regards

Carl.

I've no experience of them, but the dissection photo of these blue Norwegians shows full leather stiffeners on the toe and heelcup, full leather insole as well. These are always good signs.

Thanks for the input. I'm tempted to try a pair. I am very into shoes but this is the first time I have heard of Handmacher. There are so many shoemakers out there.

Long time lurker, will slowly share more of my collection on SF.

Latest addition to the family: Edward Green's Beaulieu in Antique Burgundy. Lovely gimping and fine stitching details.

Can't wait to polish them up, will post the results in the EG thread.

Welcome to the forum!

Those are the shoes that started it all for me; I saw them and, not being able to afford them, looked for austerity brogues elsewhere and stumbled on SF from there.

22 pairs of shoes later...:embar:

I love austerity brogues in general and that pair in particular.

The design is very unique and I think Edward Green execute it to perfection.

This forum has been invaluable in helping to build to build my knowledge and appreciation for shoes. As I'm sure it has been for you while you worked your way up to 22 pairs!!

Yes, something about the purity of the design coupled with that lovely antique burgundy finish that EG uses -- mesmerizes me every time.
