found something interesting here, handwelted, full grain, leather toe puff/heel stiffener, 4 stitches per CM, though leather will definitely be kind of , but only cost you USD 72 (with rubber sole, but they also have channelled leather sole option)
Already tried these guys when I was working in China last year. Got a bit ripped off. I ordered a pair of black double monks.
- Authentic Dainite sole
- Goodyear Welted
- "Ecco" leather (Google it - yes, the company)
- Ridiculously long toe box (add an extra inch of length to a pair of Carmina double monks)
If you legitimately want to order a pair of shoes from China, here is a seller I recommend: http://handmadeshoes.taobao.com/?spm=2013.1.1000126.4.SiswXU&v=1
Expect to pay $100-180 depending on construction (cemented/Blake stitched/GYW).
I've ordered a pair of austerity brogue wingtip boots in tan and a pair of balmoral cap-toes in snuff suede. Legitimate use of French calf and GYW construction, but don't expect a leather sole to be completely leather. Hence, I went with the Topy option which for less than $5 applied is a steal.
If you order from China, expect beaters. It will be quite short of perfect. You're better off with reputable western makers.
There is also another seller on Taobao/QQ who uses Japanese shell cordovan to make copies of popular western makers (White's boots, Ralph Lauren whatever-those-popular-boots-are-called, Alden, etc.). I haven't given this guy a test since the cost risk is high (~2500-3500 Yuan).
EDIT: Here's pics of the shoes I bought from the seller I recommended (WARNING: Instagram):
