Latest pair in a series of steps in Hungarian shoecraft: a MTM austerity oxford in orange-brown Italian buffalo leather with round but chiseled toe, natural welt with white stitching, dark purple lining, flush steel toe guards and single oak bark leather soles with beveled waist.

Very classy!  Interesting to see quite a bit of "toespring" there, which, having recently seen the subject discussed by DWFII et al, seems to me like a good thing.  That's really great looking leather, and for sure you're not going to bump into a guy with the same shoes, even at a SF convention...

Those look like some great staples. Amazingly I am missing all the SF staple shoes from my wardrobe. I'll get to them eventually... smile.gif

Fresh out of the Box.
I love the color of these. Always a BIG Dover fan - these are going to be a close second.

The most relevant post on this thread thus far.

Some genuine shoe damage right there...

At first I tried to be witty, but failing to find a nice, snarky rhyme for Verre, I must concur that the damage does look stupid -- and it's stupid because the maker used a ticket book seam on the one piece that's always under stress. Maximum stupidity.
