Did you ever move on those Nevises yourself by the way? I guess not, since I haven't seen you post any... What kept you from it?

What kept me from it?  Well, maybe the 5 million other pairs of shoes that I bought (to use my wife's estimate). :D

They are still there and I am still tempted.  Kind of waiting to see if something comes of the Bonafe burgundy bal boot.  Particularly with the Carmina cognac shell 973s just arriving, I am more flush with derby boots than bals.  But the Nevis is just so freaking awesome.....

That reminds me - this is a porn thread, and I didn't add the Carmina porn here yet:

Haha. My girlfriend has given me the same estimate ever since I bought my third pair. I guess math isn't her strongest subject. ;)

And yes, the Nevis is awesome. Its something with those sweeping lines - almost like the head of an eagle. Very elegant. Are you still set on the CC version, or have I convinced you to go the chestnut way?

Oh, and GREAT boots you have there! As usual. :)

^^^ Cheers.  I have a pair of dark tan Bonafe derby boots so a chestnut Nevis would be too close to an overlap for me.  No doubt it will be several kinds of awesome, though. The Mahogany doesn't presently duplicate anything, which is one of the reasons it has strong appeal.

Ah, I see. Sounds like a wise choice.

^^^ Beautiful shoes and a lovely shade.  St. C really rocks the wholecut.

Isnt there a seam on the side of back heel? And isn't wholecut by definition supposed to be a single piece?
EDIT: See explanation below, I think it makes more sense.

Yes, there is a side-seam.

Yes, a wholecut is by definition a single piece of leather...and this side-seam wholecut is a single piece of leather...if it wasn't there would need to be a second seam :O

A seamless wholecut is a single piece of leather with no seam :O
