Give 'em some of the love you've been showing the Asquith, then they'll really have an awe inspiring deep glow.

I actually used the same routine for both pairs, just the dark oak showed the shine better on photo.

But the Inverness did go through some heavy downpour before polishing.

Cross post from the Bestetti-thread: Was asked for some pics of how my Riccardo Bestetti Novecento semi-bespoke Mavericks hold up, and thought I'd might just share the pics in this thread as well. As expected, they hold up superbly. They are almost six months old now or something like that, and have been worn a lot, in the fall and recent month all day, during winter inside at the office. Here's two recent pics (taken from my Instagram @shoegazingblog, but no filters):

Thanks Ozzy! Bestetti had put a bit too much polish on them, which cracked on some places, so I have stripped them down and redone the finish. Maybe they are a bit lighter now, but mainly think it's the lighting conditions. The pics I took for the buyer's guide was on a very cloudy, rainy day, while these above and especially the last one are taken in sunlight.

Its not a bad thing! I've noticed my light tan shoes darkening with every lexol application and brushing so they'll be back to their old colour (or better!) Pretty quickly I imagine. I do kinda wish I'd never seen them cos now I really want some Bestetti!

Did you ever move on those Nevises yourself by the way? I guess not, since I haven't seen you post any... What kept you from it?

What kept me from it?  Well, maybe the 5 million other pairs of shoes that I bought (to use my wife's estimate). :D

They are still there and I am still tempted.  Kind of waiting to see if something comes of the Bonafe burgundy bal boot.  Particularly with the Carmina cognac shell 973s just arriving, I am more flush with derby boots than bals.  But the Nevis is just so freaking awesome.....

That reminds me - this is a porn thread, and I didn't add the Carmina porn here yet:
