Nah, don't think it's Vass. The brown sole edge is nothing that they do, and it's most certainly a machine stitched sole stich with a fudge wheel rolled over after the stitch was made.

 

I think it is Westbourne in chestnut but with his own patina.

I of course defer to your vastly superior knowledge JI! (That and I'm looking on a fone screen!) biggrin.gif They also look a little like DC Lewis 101 last (Kent Wang hand grade) maybe not chiselled enough tho

Finger painting with leather dye. Thomas (maitre patineur at Corthay at the time, now G&G) taught me some tricks and tips and the guys from Bontoni gave me some pointers too during a trunk show. Both were very helpfull.
