Jubei, the contrast between the grainy grain and the baby bum smooth calf is too much. Something along willow calf or pin grain would be eminently better.

well, I do to some of my shoes, because due to the way I walk, I tend to tick my toe sometimes on the uneven pavement tiles on the CBD streets, and the topy will open up.

A toe tap will pretty much stop toe kicking, as the metal tap creates a small gap.

Further protection on the toe. Topy is going to wear out on the toe quicker than the rest of the foot. B. Nelson does a flush mount metal toe tap with vibram.
