Lovely shoes Parker ... Love 'em both. I have the alden chukka in sand suede (with crepe soles). They get a lot of wear. I'll get the darker color this fall. Are your chukkas unlined with flex-welt sole?

Well, that's obvious by the big "˜42'. The lasts started off as a commercial last in size 42 (8 ½ English).

It's fair to presume, the lasts have been altered to conform to the customer's measurements.

Wait, I thought EUR42 = US9 = UK8
