C&J for Brooks Brothers Peal PTB's in "boned calf" (aka CG leather?)

On the 240 last

Got these for $260, marked down from $528, so I think I'll use them as beaters. Only wish they weren't as shiny

Just got a pair unlined snuff suede penny loafers from the newly-relaunched Wildsmith at Leffot (details here). Third pair of snuff suede shoes in my closet—I'm addicted to that stuff. (Definitely should've taken pics before wearing them tonight, sorry!)

Trickers Kensington Black

These shoes started life a few years ago as a maple colour. But I got bored of it...so decided to mess with them a bit. Used saphir cream (alternating medum brown with mahogany) and now i have what looks to me like a very nice chestnut shade. I plan to keep playing around and see what I end up with.

Any suggestions as to what colours to experiment with, please share. Right now, I think they might be a little too much on the orange side.

nephew,
try using black, at this time the color is to orange

Yes, I went a bit overboard on mahogany....hope it is not too late to rectify this, as I love these chaps to bits.

Would you recommend black all over or only select parts like heel and toecap?

How do you like these? I am considering them for a pair of knock-around summer shoes. Are they light?

Best

I love to do stuff like this; I would hit them with dark brown, burgundy, black, navy and green shoe creams, just to see what happens.
