They are brand new. I bought them in store from Brooks Brothers and had them shipped to me.

I wonder what the soles look like...
The soles are fine. I assume someone just put them on and walked around on carpet for a while.

Using a pair of shoe tree would help the crease. However, The creasing is quiet bad, it can be caused if you have a wide ball area.
Better check that out, otherwise the crease will build up badly and it is advisable for a clobber's job, or sell it to cut the loss.

What is a "wide ball area"? So how do you fix a "wide ball area". These are mto so can't really sell them.

Both shoe look fine. The whole cut medallion and the semi brogue. They are shoes and will get creases if you walk in them.

What do they say about families that wear shell cordovan together? icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Mine are made by Alden for BBBF on the Grant last. Hers are made in Italy and are easily the most well made pair of women's shoes I've seen from a major retailer.

AnGeLiCbOrIs, your lady seems like a high-quality choice. Not many women take the plunge to shell, though I wager you did a bit of talking. Good job!

I was out one wet day and they have picked up serious stains. The leather has risen in a ridge where it's gotten wet. I've never had this happen a pair of shoes before. Is there any way I can repair them?

Please post in the shoe care thread.
