The sole really is sewn on to the bottom of the uppers.

That's a much clearer picture. I don't know how it is done because 1) I still believe that is a unit sole and basically mounted using an injection process; and 2) I don't have any first hand experience with such methods, but I do think you are correct--it is somehow sewn to the shoe.

love these. how do they fit? could you post pics of the the outsole?

could you also post pictures of the inner markings around the ankle. i think they are C&J but we can confirm it by the markings and the outsole. how do you like the tweed ankle? does it feel like it would hold up over?

What sort of footwear did you wear, before you "discovered Smirnoff" (and it's shattering effect)?

this is absolutely hilarious

Thanks,

They fit very well, a half size large than my 336 Last Cliffords. I hope the marking will tell you.

The tweed feels like it will hold up very well also.

Great store, that. Wouldn't know how to pronounce it correctly to save myself, but they have some really nice stuff smile.gif

OK, I hear you. Cliff Roberts is a hit and miss type of guy, so am not surprised. Might give it another go after Renomat, and then try to return them. They're too small in any case. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Enjoy!

That accountancy ad is too good. I think we have gone down in styling with time

Woke up hungover this morning and decided it would be a good idea to attempt a spit shine on some of my shoes. Got a bit carried away but pretty happy with the results for a first attempt. Thanks to all the great information on the forum, specifically the shoe care thread and Crat's video.
