Shoe Damage Report & Shoe P0rn Central - Part II - Page 977

I was quite happy with the shine I worked up on these. Renovateur all around....gave them a brush and a rest...then Saphir mahogany cream on the sides and body....Saphir Mahogany wax on the toecaps...finished off with water mixed with a few drops of pure alcohol.

I would agree from my experience. I am a big Vass fan, but don't believe any of my Vass shoes could equal my SCs.

Dark blue Alligator Chelsea boots marked 8E, Made in Italy I am guessing ca. 1999, Romano Martegani. They have a full length leather liner so not sure if they are Blake Rapid or somethign else, closed channel soles. The skins are single piece vamps to the ankle, very supple.

next steps are to dedust, light Saphir Renovateur and then blue paste wax polish. I am open to suggestions though...

I never use wax polish on alligator shoes. Have you ever used wax polish on your exotic skin shoes?

Cheers....polishing is my new thing while watching TV. The monks are by Sid Mashburn, made by Alfred Sargent I believe.
