Trying to restore what looks like could be a serviceable oxblood/black saddle shoe. The oxblood almost looks like it had been polished with black, and I'm trying my best to uncover what's underneath. Per a recommendation on this board, I've been using Lexal (ph) on these puppies. Is there any chance I'll be able to restore these to what the circled part of the picture below suggests is the original color? Can anyone suggest a better way?
I posted this in the AE thread, but now I'm looking for rather specific shoe repair advice. These are a pair of Park Ave's and the heel looks like it's beginning to come off. Is there any issue with pulling off the heel, applying shoe goo or something to the nails, and placing the heel back? I can't take it to AE to get repairs since I'm not in the states (and the AE shop here just sends everything back to the States to get serviced, so I don't know that they will fix this)
these fit true to size
