Cross from G&G thread

Gaziano & Girling Deco Bowlly in midnight blue

Claes, that is one special pair of shoes.  I think the Deco range is a bit long and pointy for my taste, but they certainly are a beautiful piece of workmanship.

However, for wearing them with those jeans, you should be horsewhipped in the town square.satisfied.gif

Haha! Yes, I was afraid of getting wipped for my jeans! But I do wear PT01 and other wool trousers in the autumns so dont worry =)

Will someone send this guy a pair of jeans? Should we take up a collection? Or is he just toying with us?

Thanks, 50% surcharge for MTO.

Delivery time was 8 weeks (actually 7 weeks since factory was closed for 1 week during that time period).

I was pretty impressed as I waited 7 months for an MTO from Alfred Sargent.

Anyone know who in Italy made the Werner for Cole Haan? There was also a lovely split-toe and a captoe (Willem) with spaded shovel shaped soles.

It was done back in the 90s. I remember driving across from Siena to Florence in the early 90s and seeing a small but prominent roadside sign directing people to an Italian Cole-Haan factory outlet.

Talk to isshi about these. I warned him about buying a pair.Trouble was they were beautifully hand finsished but an early foray into corrected grain which has killed their resale when the odd pair pops up.

If not for denial I would find it impossible to get out of bed in the morning. To quote a therapist friend of mine, 'Denial is a beautiful thing'.

The soles were fantastic. One of the meanest shapes and coolest finishes I've seen (even compared to some of today). The interior markings looked like no others I've seen, so it was probably some relatively unknown maker.. As Meister said, the leather was CRAP, though. Pure CG, and the thick stuff. Lotsa plastic in it. Those creases in the pics are while they are still NOS. what a shame!!!
