Just a thought, but if I assume correctly that you're thinking of the 202, maybe push it a bit and try Herring's Loake-made "Richmond".  It's an extra £65 (with VAT) over the 202, but unlike that (and the 200 and 206), it's made in Northampton rather than India.  More importantly, it looks like a much nicer and more natural burnished leather, rather than the highly-polished binder of the 202.  If you want something that goes casual as well as semi-formal, and looks quality, maybe that's the way to go.  Barker also make some in that price range that are pretty nice.

By pure coincidence, after I posted that someone has posted a picture of the Herring Richmond: http://www.styleforum.net/t/234255/hof-what-are-you-wearing-right-now-part-iii/36795#post_5783459

Sorry my mistake - I thought you meant that you already had the 206 and now wanted a full brogue.  Anyway, best of luck!

That is correct, I have the 206b and 200b's, I thought you meant that perhaps my 206bs were 202s so I apologise as it was me who misunderstood.

I must say I do like those Richmonds, something tells me you may have just cost my wallet a further £175 ;) I have decided I will purchase the sydney monks and make a decision on closer inspection whether to return or send them to church for renovating.

Any suggestions for some ostich quill leather shoes/boots? Something besides Mezlan but not too dear for what amounts to a novelty shoe?

Allen Edmonds now do an ostrich chukka, not ridiculously priced.  Couldn't believe it when I saw it.

Vass do ostrich in pretty much anything you want and don't overcharge so much for exotics.

or how about a Vass shell booth in multi-color? or maybe even an austerity brogue miller boot that you could stand up in!

Actually the boots are black shell, with green lining....

I ordered through Aki at the Jermyn Street in London... all through e-mail... a pleasure to deal with.

pretty much identical to my Peal for BB's burgundy shell boots...

Yea, I am pretty much tapped out... As Bud Fox would say, 'I got a hit man from American Express looking for me'
