Shoe Appreciation from Rider's blowout: Grenson Masterclass for Paul Stuart adelaide spectators. Although these are seconds, I was surprised by the quality of finishing and shape of last. Laces have been changed from flat brown ones to white ones for greater contrast.

Great grab, friend. I was soooo close to snatching those, and that price was VERY friendly. Already got 2 pairs of brown & white specs, though. Congrats.

doesn't look like a Bonafe sole, but is similar to some red croc monks I have by him.

Is that the shoemaker's name on that footpad? Or is it that the familar Italian writing you see on Harris/Santoni/Maurizi lines when they assert they are "fatto a mano"/handmade in some way?

Lovely. G&G is the top UK RTW/ MTO shoemaker now it seems. They are at the cutting edge of "pushing the limit", using exotics and a flair for the dramatic. This is something that had been lacking in the UK RTW market, I think.

I think this particular pair is due to Nick being not afraid to order RTW exotics. They're very cool. But at that price level I'd go bespoke. However, i'm expecting my (first) package from Nick in about a month or so. Can't wait :)
