^, I have the same Alden shell boots. I hate that the tongue slips to the side and this boot needs speed hooks! I may sell them!!

the tongue issue can be solved by bring to shoemaker and having the tongue sewed. i prefer eyelets over speed hooks

^Great boot, missed out on the Cigar although I have the lowly #8 version and would have preferred speed hooks.

I just got back from a weekend in Vienna. Here are some pics.

Ludwig Reiter was disappointing and over priced so I did not bother to take any pictures.

Scheer & Sohne window. I was quoted a starting price of 5000 Euro for the first pair.







Balint - Fantastic looking hand welted shoes at a reasonable price. Semi-custom is about 700 Euro and they will deduct VAT. I think full bespoke was about 2k for the first pair.







Flight from FRA-JFK. Not shoes but definite p0rn.
