With over 30 suits in my wardrobe, worn over a decade, I have come to the conclusion of really preferring my pants unlined. The feel of the lovely fabric against my thigh, the way it "sits" and holds together (doesn't bunch) and the natural "hang" seems far more advantageous than lined pants. I find lined pants bulky and really hate the thick linings in my Brioni suits - on the other hand my Gianni versace suits are all unlined and fit and feel beautifully. I don't think sweat 9after all the unlined pant seems to breathe better) or longevity comes into it as my unlined pants have lasted as long at lined pants. So what is the real reasoning behind lined pants? Interested in people's comments...
