I've found that showing your stylist a picture for them to work with around your head/face/features is the best way to get what you want.

So post pictures of what you are looking or what is in at the moment here, and we can share our opinions and input and hopefully you can find something in this thread to show the person who does your hair.

i once showed the gay that cuts my hair a picture of marcello mastroianni from 8 1/2. it was great and looked good. i was cracking up a little because it looked like he cut and paste the hairstyle to my head.
