So it looks like Phat Guido is hanging up his suit(s) for the foreseeable future. He's apparently at a new job where suits are frowned upon: http://mostexerent.tumblr.com/

Sounds like it's dad jeans and turtle necks from now on.

Nah, he's got more flair than that. I'm thinking work boots, raw denim and something to cover his chest.

I wonder what industry he's in that he can go from a place that mandates suits to a place that doesn't allow them. Seems like most industries are within the same range of formality.

How can you read his post without getting that he's going to work for Apple - am I tripping or did he make that pretty clear?

The only way he could have made that clearer would be to paste the logo.

He posted a couple weeks ago, that he was summoned to apple HQ, so that and the thinking different screams Cashmere turtle necks and LVC dad jeans.

I would be lying if I said that I clicked through or read his post. Laziness. Always bet on laziness.

On that note, it's ironic that in the name of 'thinking different," tailored clothing is strictly forbidden. I think going over-the-top London-banker style would be about as radical as you could dress Cupertino. My friends that work in the valley dress in tie-dye, cargo shorts and Tevas.
