Everything, you dont wear a cardigan with a jacket. It's not elegant, or cool. It's the opposite from it. It doesn't belong there, especially when you are wearing a tie with it. The only reason why that picture looks ''cool'' is because of the side approve. Would it has been taken from the front it would be worse. But that's my opinion about it.

I have to say there isn't another form of knitwear more suited to be worn under a jacket apart from a sleeveless vest than a cardigan.

I'm not a big fan of that look but a cardigan is fine under a jacket..

- Patrick (Johnson is actually wearing a knit vest) & trust me he looks better than a lot of industry people posted here. I know as I was there on the day for a fitting & my sister took the photo for her blog (www.stoneleighgallery.tumblr.com)
- May I suggest (as other have) you soften your tone unless you are 100% certain. We all have opinions, but the issue here is your track record as well as your few WAYW posts that are not helping your cause.

Really? Though I don't think the cardigan is a no-no, I think v-neck and turtleneck sweaters do look nicer under a jacket.

I just mean they both compliment a shirt and tie perfectly underneath a jacket.

I happen to love the right cardigan under a jacket. It has to be thin, though.

I think we're misunderstanding Achillus, fellas. He said it's "Awefull." Which I take to mean that he's filled with awe when he sees it. tounge.gif

(Also, what is a "side approve," Achillus?)

May I ask you a question? Do you actually think twice before you share your opinion? IMO, I don't think you understand the art of dressing and its etiquette. There's nothing wrong with wearing a cardigan under a (suit) jacket!
