This is one of the few wearings of a linen suit - or at least a linen DB - that don't make me cringe.

A linen DB is a strange beast - at least in 2013.

I think you have to go streetwear-ish with it to avoid looking like you're starring in the community theater's production of some period piece.

How do you like R Jr's extreme wide fit linen suits? They are almost if not already at Yohji Yamamoto potato sack no structured loose drape fit.

Definitely not. I think your statement is overly generalized. I'm getting quite a bit of use from my RAF blue DB suit and I wear it in a conservative manner. A white linen DB could be costume, but I wish I had one because there are a number of white parties and other summer events where it would find use.
