Yesterday, a photographer came up to me in the subway station and asked if he could take a picture of me reading the newspaper (which is what I was doing). I said sure. Then, when the train came he asked if he could board with me and keep photographing. I told him it was fine as long as I could keep reading the newspaper, which I did. He took pictures for about two stops worth, showed me some and then disembarked (I won't say got off in response to an Ed post). I tried to use my serious, concentration face the whole time.
would have preferred you posed, one foot up on a subway seat, one hand holding the newspaper up to your face (you are wearing sunglasses, of course) while you stare past the other straphangers into the abyss that is the subway tunnel. Are you contemplating the front page article of the Financial Times? Are you rethinking the subterranean transportation system? Did you forget to turn off the stove? Who knows.
