Not exactly. Though I agree with you about novelty ties.

Print ties of paintings..unless part of the artist's intention is to have the image as a tie, are not a good idea.
Who is the man in the picture on the wall? There's the answer to your clothing questions, as he seems well dressed in that portrait.

The fact that the wreath coordinates with the outfit, probably wasn't the best prop to have in the photo.

I only have a problem with the socks and that cobalt blue shirt. I think to switch those two colors, opinions would also.

He seems to be saying: "Young man - where is your pocket square?"

Geez, some of you are guys are unnecessarily rude.

Catchcall, your pose does you and your clothing a disservice. You should take another picture in the same clothes, standing up straight in a relaxed, unaffected pose.

I'll leave it to the experts to explain exactly what elements of your ensemble could use work.

This is obviously a joke.

OK I have exaggerated what was said to fit my own biases. Maybe I'm just a print tie Nazi who burns ties instead of books but IMHO 99% of print ties should be avoided.

I'm not being rude. It's just that I've seen this picture before and the guy got the same comments last time. To me, it smells of troll.

Re: the real guy in that pic, sucks for him to be 'passed around' on the internet, getting all this verbal bukkake

Bespoke the Troll

In golf, the ball always goes where it is hit, regardless of intention.

The same can be said for Catchcall's outfit.

"Fore!"

I'll believe the tie is an original Dunhill limited edition if you show us a picture of the label. I would believe it was a limited edition designed by J Garcia for Dunhill, though.
It seems to me the AskAndy list is a joke. Those socks don't even look bespoke.
