C&H ftw. (No contest.)

I'm not sure if Peanuts ever made me laugh, even once. Calvin and Hobbes, however, had a great influence on my early developement.

Early Peanuts is incredible. There's never been a comic strip so cruel and sad. If Shulz had ended it as Watterson did, this would be no contest, much as I like C&H. Peanuts went soft long before it ended, but still. In one of his final interviews, Shulz said something along the lines of, "I did not give this up, this was taken from me." Heartbreaking.

C&H. Seriously. I grew up on C&H. There is no comparison.

Charlie Brown and the Little Red-Haired Girl, sigh.

Though I was never a fan of Peanuts (nor even followed it particularly closely), I appreciate this review:

I voted for both.

Agreed. The 50s and most of the 60s were great, I think. I do love some of the 70s stuff as well.

C&H, it isn't even a contest.

Then you posted those strips.

Old-school Peanuts was intense. Plus, they have the awesome holiday specials.

I'm calling it a draw.
