What Magazines Do You Read? iPad Thoughts?

What magazines do you currently read? Do you subscribe to them or grab the occasional issue at the newsstand?

On a related note, are you interested in reading magazines going forward on the iPad? Have you ditched a subscription recently just to view that mag's content on their website? Do you agree with me that all mags should put all their articles on their website (and set up a pay wall).

I currently subscribe to American GQ and Esquire. If I had the money I'd also have subscriptions to Q (British music mag) and both British and Italian GQ.

I get tons of magazines from frequent flyer miles and work. Each employee gets two magazines related to work delivered to their home and we collect the past issues at work. I enjoy all of them. I'm considering an iPad for web browsing on the subway but I like the real thing.

I also get tons of subscriptions because of frequent flyer miles. Current ones are:

Esquire
GQ
Details
Mens Health
The Economist
Golf Digest
Forbes
Fortune
Vanity Fair

I don't usually look at magazine content on the internet and I get them for free so I don't really think about it that much. My wife gets many more magazines than I do. Our mailman must hate us.

The Economist
Monocle
Bicycle Quarterly

That's pretty much it. As for the iPad? Maybe. I have a Kindle for books, but it definitely isn't meant for non-linear reading. The iPad might be too locked down for me, but I think for someone like my mom it will be brilliant.

Magazines I subscribe to or buy on a regular basis:

Grassroots Motorsports
Modified
Road & Track
Automotive News
Performance Racing News
GQ

Fast Company
Wired
The Economist

I'm a Macbook Pro user (my 4th Mac in 10 years) and an iPhone user but the iPad just doesn't appeal to me.

My main focus in reading this periodical is to use Goofus as my role model.

Example:

Goofus posts in CE. Gallant posts in MC.

Goofus has 10,000 posts. Gallant only posts when he has something educational to share with his fellow forumites.

The only subscription I have is The Economist.

I used to subscribe to Esquire, but I found I just wasn't reading it as much any more, so I let it lapse.
