it's a software problem with the benz. the fix takes just 20 minutes at your dealer.

Contact Chan.

All lulz aside, perhaps the pants are not engineered to your particular butt & crotch.

THis is why people get one suit made first -- to work out kinks in the pattern.

If you contact them right away, they should be able to either determine a fix or cut you new, more acomodating pairs of pants if they have fabric remaining.

They have a good rep on this board so I believe they will try to do the right thing.

Exactly what I was thinking....

If it is just the seam that came open, take it to a local tailor to be sewn and ask him why he thinks it happened. Not sure from your description where this happened. You say the crotch came open but it starts 8cm from the top of the seam. 8cm from the Waistband seam? These are two different areas. There are several causes for this but none that would infer that Chan is a sub-par outfit.

I want to know if DOT is going to have a recall. This is clearly a safety issue. Not surprising MB is the Toyota of Germany.

Has anyone asked for pics as yet?

Pretty sure Chan would work with you to fix the problem.

I think the failure only happens when one wears Honkie and French trousers. MB tolerates trousers of other provenances just well.

About the size: 6ft tall, non-muscular body, weight's around 235lbs. I have a few really basic questions, if you don't mind. tl;dr a newb chubby is having suits tailored in HK Is WW Chan a newb-friendly place? How bad of an idea is a 2-button jacket wih peaked lapels for a man of my size? Which arm hole length is ideal for me? Also, are fabrics with even a dim stripe off-limits? And finally, could a double-breasted jacket actually work?
Hmm...
