My co-workers the second year were three single guys around my age, so things got considerably better, but not great by any objective measure. Am I glad I had the experience? Yes. Would I want to live there for any prolonged period of time? Absolutely not.

Now you get to live w. millions of ugly people.. To be fair you're doing well on the museum front and getting outta town to do something fun isn't that hard.

If Mellencamp actually ran, it would be the biggest landslide in the history of Indiana elections. You heard it here first. That said, I really hope he doesn't run.

Yup. It was strange at first, used to have everything a walking distance away. As a kid this meant movies, malls and McDonalds. At 17 I moved to a very small town closer to Barrie, Ontario. I'm pretty happy I was forced into that move when I was younger to be honest. I recently settled on giving up all my big city work, and possibly friends to live even further north, buy a large plot of land around a small lake, and make camp for good. That is once I retire (Hopefully only a few years away).
