Also man your tastes are going to change. Black/white/grey is a great foundation to build on though. Just don't be afraid to change or try things out on a whim, and don't worry about having things 'on lock' or not.

That's a good point; obviously I wont be all black continually and such but I do want to add different pops of colour in and switch up to different pieces. I'm just starting to build my wardrobe now and like I said when I start posting fits I would love to hear feedback. Thanks guys.

I suppose that RO double layer could be long enough where you don't actually need pants.

Looking at some of the things I've purchased this year.

Pants
3 x Incotex/PT01/GTA cotton pants (stone, tan, navy) @ $150 = $450
1 x grey flannel pants @ $150 = $150
1 x plaid or checked pants @ $150 = $150

Total pants = $750

Knitwear
3 x BB wool v-neck @ $75 = $225
2 x shawl cardigan @ $200 = $400
1 x vintage camel hair v-neck or cardigan @ $50 = $50
1 x handknit fairisle @ $300 = $300
1 x cashmere turtleneck @ $300 (sale) = $300

Total knitwear = $1275

Jeans
2 x APC @ $150 = $300
1 x RRL @ $125 = $125

Total jeans = $425

Shirts
3 x vintage Pendleton plaid shirts (Blackwatch, Stewart, Campbell) @ $40 = $120
4 x cotton broadcloth (blue, white, checked, stripe) @ $75 = $300
2 x linen Kato AAA @ $250 = $500
3 x cotton polo shirt @ $75 = $150
2 x turtlenecks @ $30 = $60

Total shirts = $1130

Jackets
1 x winter jacket @ $800 = $800
1 x Autumn/Spring jacket @ $250 = $250

Total jackets = $1050

Footwear
1 x CJ Islay boot @ $550 = $550
1 x RL suede brogue @ $250 (sale) = $250
1 x AS double monk @ $400 = $400

Total footwear = $1200

I'm over $5700 and still have many unfilled requirements. Obviously the knitwear expenditure doesn't have to be a recurring one, but I'd likely purchase 3 or 4 each season. Will add 2 or 3 pairs of shoes, 1 - 2 jeans, 2 - 3 pants, 4 - 5 shirts each year.

I wanna play.  Here's my wardrobe:

Shoes:

black Raf boots - $525

white CP achilles - $280

converse x varvatos hightops - $37

Coats:

Filson x Levis jacket - $200 (wear this constantly)

DRKSHDW denim jacket - $450 (in retrospect not the best purchase - who needs two denim jackets?)

Mountain HardWear gore-tex coat - $200 (I use this more for activities but it's my winter coat so I included it)

Schneider coat - $500 (Ebay, still has tags on it since I'm not sure)

Pants:

APC NC - $175

Balenciaga cords/jeans - $90

Number (n)ine grey cotton pants - $120 (B&S)

Incotex cords (for work) - $60

H&M black overdyed denim - $40

Shirts:

RRL flannel - $95 (doesn't fit me any more frown.gif)

Yigal Azroel button-up - $50

Raf button-up - $63

6 American Apparel white tshirts - 6x6.50 = $39

Sweaters:

Missoni - $175 (Filene's Basement RIP)

Total: $3,099

I need more shirts, a real winter coat, another sweater and maybe one more pair of boots, but otherwise I've got a pretty decent wardrobe (imo) and I'm way under the budget.  I've got some Gap / Banana Republic stuff that I've had for years and years that I wear (mostly shirts) that I didn't include simply because I've had it for ages, have no idea what it cost, and would like to replace it.

Everything on there was the price I purchased it at, not retail.  They were from Mr. Porter, 80% off.

Someone should do one of these for business casual. No jeans no t-shirts etc.

Dark jeans are business casual these days.

350

Bizubimu = $4,320.00

Spend the rest on beer/weed/porno mags (or a sweet used Honda Spree to pick up chicks on)

Yeah, you'll get so many chicks wearing nothing but your ugly flesh-colored jacket.
