Come on now. You all know I meant a massage not a bukkake.

In my house a pearl necklace is a symbol of love and respect.

Merkur Slant Bar is the DE razor that shaves close and --this is important-- it shaves quick. I've used others. I couldn't see sticking with any of them. They all seemed to require three passes in order for me to get a decent shave. I get a good shave on one pass with the Slant. I even get decent shaves using cheaper blades like Swords and Personas. They didn't work for shit in my Merkur Futur.

Hmmm... I always use Feather blades in my Classic HD and get a real nice, close shave - admittedly 2-pass.

For the OP- a safety razor takes skill to use and I find it more enjoyable and more economical, but realistically I use it to avoid ingrowns, so if you can use a Mach3 - more power to you.

I don't get why people want a close shave. For me, close shave=ingrown hairs and I have to avoid shaving closely.

I used to have a Merkur that I bought in London. I barely used it, getting a closer DE shave from a 30 cent plastic job from the supermarket. I use a badger brush and Mama Bear shaving creams (in the interest of full disclosure). When I am either traveling or time starved in the morning, add me to the Sensor Excel list from Gillette. I have used Mach 3s before, and honestly, I don't think they shave me any closer than the Sensors, and the cartidges cost like double. I have never ventured higher in blade count than the Mach 3 though.

I use a powered Fusion daily and keep a regular one at the parents' house for when I'm there. I don't notice any difference, but I switch the power on anyway. I suppose the cartridges could be pretty expensive if you switch them out often enough, but I rarely do (maybe after 4-6 weeks of daily use? With the Costco pack I got they'll last forever) But then again, for a year or two I shaved daily just using a cheap twin-blade and hot water, so what do I know?.
