What Brand of Shoes Shall I sell?

Hi all, I've been selling some of my shoes over the last couple of months. Unfortunately, I still have too many.

I'm finding it hard to decide on what to sell next (as I'll probably be selling the shoes at a loss and I want to minimise this loss).

So, I thought that I'd put it to the forum (and potentially some of my buyers) as to what to sell?

I'm not going to go into the shoe specifics. However, I will give the name of the brands that I potentially may sell.

Would you please make your suggestion in the poll and give your reasons in a post? I'm looking for quality of brand as opposed to popularity.

Thanks all in advance

Clint

Thanks !

I think all the above will create an interest in here. Most importantly is what size are u wearing that I think most of us want to know.

Thanks for your answer. I've deliberately left out sizing information or specific models as I'm trying to determine what shoes I should actually keep.

I have previous posts that people could use to find out my size. However, this is not really relevant to my question.

I have listed shoes from the above list recently and not all have generated a lot of interest. There could be several factors for this. However, I'd simply like to know which brand of shoes are probably worth selling.

This is highly subjective, but I'm having such a hard time deciding what I should sell, any help would be welcomed.

Thanks again

I would keep the Grenson Materpiece and Barker Black Having own a few of these options I would rate Grenson MP the top, BB the most unique style IMO. C&J Handgrades are certainly great shoes but you can easily buy them back if you regret selling them.

The question that the poll is asking is which of the 3 is better. In that respect I think the consensus is that the Grenson Masterpiece is almost equal to EGs while the C & J Handgrade are not quite there with the EGs. Barker Black designs are not to my taste and in extremely limited experience I have been underwhelmed by their quality.

I would keep the C &J handgrade but that is becase I like their designs and execution the best. I think quality wise Grenson Masterpieces would be best.

I don't have experience with Barker Black. I agree with the above that the designs are a bit too much maybe. I find my Grenson Masterpieces very classic and as well made as the C&J handgrades. I think the C&J would sell quicker since they are more popular, widely available and have modern lasts. I would keep both the Grensons and C&J however

Thank you all for your replies so far. I see it's going to take me a while to interpret the consensus from the various responses .

I guess all of you are correct in what you say and therein lies my problem. I like the various shoes for different reasons

Anyway, I REALLY appreciate your comments to date.

GMP > CJH > BB

Clint, I would keep the shoes not readily available. For instance, C&J handgrades and [many styles of] Barker Blacks can be had by anyone, but Grenson Masterpiece cannot. You know what you must do.

I'll start by saying I don't own any of the above makes. I ticked 'they are about the same' because it is colour and style that I am mostly influenced by rather than make. I have seen great shoes by all three.
My head has been turned by wholecuts lately.
You have got great taste in shoes Clint, so I am looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Grenson Masterpiece gets my vote--not as easily obtained as C&J handgrades, and I really don't care for Barker Black very much.

Perhaps one of the main factor is the price you list up as well. if it is cheap and the shoes is still in good condition, I'm sure they will be gone fast.

I really thank everyone for their input. As BigBris1 said, "I know what I must do".

I do hate the idea of losing money on items that I've not used. However, it's just the way things go I guess. I do believe the price that I put are fair. However, it is a buyer's market, so I have to bear this in mind.

I'm going to try something now. Wish me luck people.

Thanks again
