For anyone that lifts primarily to look like a fitness model, what program or site is the most effective for this purpose. I'd pay for a trainer but none of the trainers at my gym have a physique I'm looking for.

Ive managed to drop from skinny fat to 12% BF in the last 6 months from cutting carbs and following a stronglifts/Starting strength program but Im looking to change my program so I can add lean body mass to places that matter. I really could give two ***** about functional strength or 1 rep max which seems what these programs are geared towards.

Just spend your time on shoulders, lats, pecs and biceps. Most of those guys spend no time on legs, so skip the deadlifts, squats, etc....

I would argue otherwise and emphasize the legs the most, they really hit your core the hardest and will synergize with muscle growth in all other body areas.

Maybe it's different for girls, but I'm not at all impressed by guys who have great upper bodies and then legs that look like they belong to a malnourished 14-year-old dude.

I assumed he was just going for a show-off sort of thing - so basically fill out a t-shirt with your "guns". Reminds me of this video:

There is a massive thread from last year titled something like 'ask a fitness model'.

SS/SL aren't geared towards 1rm. Not sure how you interpreted them that way.

You should never cut out squats and deadlifts. At least thats what the broscientists say. Also keep up the cardio and the Bf lower.

alot of those guys are very unhealthy and do take steroids(winny, proviron, etc) and thermogenics to keep the fat off.

to look like or even become a fitness model, you first have to be blessed genetically

prerequisites are, near perfect skeletal structure, proportions, preferably tall and lean

why don't you ask one of the PTs? Even though they may not look like what you want they'll probably be able to help you achieve your goal. Although, it would seem any well rounded program should work and maybe emphasize areas you're weak in. I mean, I have chicken legs therefore I do more leg work.

I'm a crossfitter - I think the combo of met-con and strength is pretty solid for that sculpted look, especially if your diet is good (Robb Wolf style Paleo for me). I prefer MEBB since I want to actually build strength, but a Crossfit Endurance style workout with main crossfit and 3 hours before/later endurance work would probably lean you out pretty fast and get that look.

I know that Rain trained with Gym Jones which is pretty similar to crossfit for Ninja Assassin. And some dude from Twilight is a crossfitter. Not sure what Christian Bale's training regimen was for American Psycho or any of the fitness model guys.

My friend's roommate was an Abercrombie model, but he just naturally looked like that.
