Harry Rosen has their Gant Rugger and Gant by MB stuff on sale. Gant is not on their list of brands, click on Casual Wear then Sale to see their selection. Ships from Canada, so good deals if you are north of the border.

Anyone know where I can still get a GANT RUGGER "The Cardigan" in the bottle green and/or wine color? Really interested in buying.

Gant Rugger sales on Gilt will have "The Cardigan" in both colors. Unless you are a M, your chances of grabbing one are quite high.

Saw some SS 11 at the Barney's warehouse sale in NYC - polos, Gant MB shorts, maybe a few others. I think that sale ends today. Does the stuff go to the outlets after that?

Can you search on GILT? I've been on waitlist for that item forever... seen it, SOLD OUT. damn

so it looks like a lot of the stuff on the Gant website has sold out, at least in my sizes and this seems premature. In people's experience will they restock?

Damn.. sold out. It reminds me a lot of the BoO parka though

I might be able to hook you up with one, what size?

Having never owned a Gant or Gant Rugger shirt, can someone recommend a size to me? I'm 5'7 140lbs. Usually wear 14.5 sized dress shirts, XS's in Jcrew button ups. I'm guessing most likely a size small? Is there any variation between the sizes of each brand and type of shirt I should watch out for?

I'd recommend small in Gant Rugger, but different shirts fit differently. There are different cuts (e.g., EZ-fit, Hugger), but the cut seems to vary more based on the material than based on the type of shirt. The Syracuse twill, for example, seems to fit pretty boxy with low armholes, whereas the madras shirts fit much slimmer. There isn't a lot of taper to them, so I usually get mine taken in by a tailor.

Also, you didn't list your chest size. I have a 40" chest, and a medium fits me well. I would assume that small = 38 and XS = 36, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm about a 36 chest size. Definitely need a slimmer fit. I end up with XS for Jcrew casual shirts because I don't ever button the collar, which is too tight, and the torso and sleeve length fit me better. So might need an XS in Gant as well, especially on the boxier fits? Are XS relatively easy to find? It didn't seem like the Gant website listed many shirts in XS. Thanks for your help.

Dunno, never looked for them. If they're not on the Gant web site, they might not make them. I'd probably start by trying a small that's returnable.
