I was tempted to post this in CE, but I was afraid of what would happen if people took it seriously.

A recent poll found that Brits think the U.S. has more good looking people than any other country in the world. I'm actually a little surprised, given our notorious obesity problem. One thing that isn't surprising to me is that Brazil came in second, and I suspect it would have won if the question were posed as "per capita." At least someone in Europe thinks we got something right.

My school is pretty multi-national, and the Scottish girls are the least attractive and have the worst accents, IMO.

There are a lot of odd places that made the list. There is definitely a Western/European bias.

I think I would be very confused if I encountered someone meeting that description.

I do have a good friend who is half Scottish, half Japanese. He has an American accent, though. I also don't find him particularly attractive. So, in summary, he's exactly what you're talking about, except he's a dude with an American accent.

America definitely has the hottest women. This is because they move here from Uzbekistan or Indonesia or Sub-saharan Africa because this is the land of opportunity and they can make money off their looks here.

We also have plenty of unfortunate looking people but that's just a byproduct of our national lifestyle. As long as we keep the hot immigrants coming in we will be fine.

My wife just got back from visiting her family in the Midlands and up near the border of Scotland. One of her first comments was, "I couldn't help but notice how fat and rough looking people were in many of the communities".

Part of it depends upon where you hang out. That is certainly true traveling around the USA.

Not bad, but I'm not sure she would vie for my hottest in the world title. Still, I feel you on the hot asian chicks with brit accents tip. Which is why I have a special place in my heart for Hong Kong.

Accents on people not commonly associated with that country stand out hence the attraction. I knew a Chinese guy who was raised in Jamaica, everyone did a double take as soon as he said anything.
