C&J shoe sizes compared to A-E

I'm interested in some C&J's, but am at a loss as to sizing. My workhorse shoe is the Allen Edmunds Colton (I have both chestnut AND black) in size 10 EEE. My need for EEE is primarily based on a think instep, rather than a wide foot (does that make sense?).

From what I've learned here, I'm guessing I need a shoe in a "G" fitting in size 10 1/2. Unfortunatley, I see very few shoes in a G fitting.

What size should I be looking for? I'm in the midwest USA, so there are no stores for me to actually try on a shoe. I have to make a leap of faith.

probably 9 1/2 G. Maybe even a 9 G.

I wear a 10.5 D in AE (1, 3, 4, 7, and 8 lasts) and a 9.5 E in C&J's 337 last (one of their longer lasts).
