Question for shoe-savants

Could somebody tell me who made the following shoe? It's a brown suede 5-eyelet bal wingtip with the following inscribed on the side:

Last 6184/D
Shoe No. 354-8192

Is that enough to go by? I've intentionally held off on the name on the insole for now, but if needed I'll be happy to supply it. It is a venerable English marque known well, but not for their shoes.

Cheaney has a 6184 last.

Cheaney...hmm, I'm not familiar enough with them to say one way or another. Given that the last number only drew one response, perhaps it's appropriate to mentioned what's on the insole: MADE IN ENGLAND ESPECIALLY FOR Kilgour,French & Stanbury There is no space on the insole between the comma and French, which is why I wrote it thusly above. Is EM's Cheaney thought most likely, or does someone know for sure who made shoes for Kilgour?

Cheaney was Church's parent company, IIRC. Or vice versa. Anyway, the shoes were very similar.

CHurch's owns Cheaney. As sort of a slightly less high-end line. Decent shoes. Kilgour shoes in the past have been made by C&J, don't see why not Cheaney.
