Okay, I've decided to go the MTM route for a new suit (or two) once I get to NYC. I have a suit that will get me through the first semester so I'm in no rush. Now, I would appreciate your help with choosing a tailor. From what I can tell, the most popular custom suit tailors mentioned on this site are Jantzen, Chan, and LS Men's Clothing. Their respective websites quote suit prices that are within my price range (under $1000 for a suit that will last). However, I have a few questions that I would appreciate your help with. 1. What are some of the pros/cons of each tailor? 2. If I go with Jantzen or Chan, what do I need to know about ordering a suit while they are on tour to NYC; e.g. how long does it take before I get the suit, is it worth the wait? 3. Could you suggest ways to expedite or otherwise improve the MTM experience? 4. What are some other high-quality tailors in NYC that I should look into that could offer a suit within my price range? Thanks in advance! And forgive me if the questions have been answered in another thread. What I found were threads in esoteric language beyond my understanding. Please link me if you know of threads (in the vernacular) that could help me.
