If it gets a couple of days in without one being posted, I can post a filler album so that no one's week gets shortchanged, if anyone cares. I'm not always going to be on here myself at a timely hour on Friday/Saturday, so feel free to do your own PMing of the next person up. I'll try to keep them apprised a few days out.

For the rest of this week:

Larry Levan is one of the most influential figures in electronic music, but I don't think people outside certain circles are as aware of him as they are of Kraftwerk, Eno, Frankie Bones, etc. This week's submission is really more about the man than it is the album, which is just a thin cross section of his importance, a glorious peephole into another time.

From Wikipedia:

Although the whole documentary on house music/rave is good, watch from 3:00 to 9:00, or starting from 4:20 if you're especially impatient, to understand the context of this week's submission.

Is this only the active ones? If so, hook a brother up, will ya? Great work nonetheless

Can I just say that when it's LabelKing's turn, I will be sorely disappointed if we are not subjected to an album of collected rare animals being shaved and then dropped whole and live into giant custom built mason jars full of embalming fluid by a frenchman in a cravat. Perhaps with a pipe organ solo.

Fer Christ's sake...it was like one little piece of whale bacon. Which, by the way, did not taste like chicken.

I didn't see where you'd posted in the albums thread at all, Alter. Only people who commented or participated in some way were included in the revised list.

Oh yeah? Come collect thine comeuppance, knave! Banishment from the table of minstrels and merriment is your toll. Count thyself lucky 'tis only I, and not Captain Planet who comes to tax thee!

Aha...yeah, I planned on commenting on the first one but found that most of my impressions had already been expressed by others. Haven't had the time for the others...been a busy month. If you want to keep it to people that are going to be active to comment on all albums then I bow out...no problem.

If that means banishment from CE then bring it on, I say. Way too much for me there.

I go in there whenever I start getting too comfortable around humans. As a reminder.

I don't think it has to be limited to ppl who actively comment, but active involvement is a good indicator for whether or not the poster is going to post an album
