Looks purty.

Yes , but they are olives . It is stuffed with artichokes, tomato confit, olives, anchovies and red peppers.

Sounds delicious. Any wine w/ that?

You get an A for presentation. It would have been an A+ but you plated undressed arugula and you didn't use your silver platter.

Matt - I might have missed this in earlier posts, but do you have any special equipment in your kitchen to bake this bread? The last few loaves have looked amazing.

stone/brick/tile/pan or just on the oven rack?

The last one was just on a cookie sheet. The one before on a stone.

Is this the book that you're using?

I didn't think you could cook bread that looked this good at home in a regular oven. I'd like to try my hand at it.

So, we just got a bread maker as a gift. Tried it out last night and...it was excellent! Going to have fun playing around with it.

which one did you get? there's that one from Japan that makes baguettes, now that thing is insane.

Yep..that one, I think: Panasonic SD-BMS102. It makes baguette dough but the shape is a standard rectangle if you cook it in the unit. Yesterday we did a simple white bread and it was really impressive. It also has a strong enough mixer for pizza dough, pasta, and bagels.
