I want to get an electric steamer. I dont need anything very good, just something to make dinner for 2.

I saw this YouTube video,

...and I think having one that would cook different compartments for different amounts of time would be very useful.

Any recommendations beyond that? I want something that is easy to clean and doesn't feel wobbly. I'm guessing fish and vegetables are most of what I can do with it. Anything else interesting I should know about?

My rice cooker has a steamer tray that I can use. I just use that.

Get steamer baskets (I sometimes just use colanders).

of if you want more capacity, go to an asian market and buy one of those nested metal steamers. you can fit a platter on there (whole fish!). and then put the veg on the second level. and they're really cheap.
but buying an electric gadget just to bring water to the boil ... i dunno.
