That must be why you'll never leave.

I thought the inclusion of Romeo Dallaire was great. The guy has more balls than you've had in your mouth.

Affirmitive action to the n-th degree is doing nothing for the Natives. For a group that is 5% of Canada's population, and even less so in BC I think they received more than their fair share of the ceremonies. Not only does the logo have nothing to do with the Native community in BC (inukshuk?) but the whole thing felt artificial. Not once did they pay a tribute to huge South Asian and Chinese communities, nor to James Cook nor the Pacific Railway. The part that supposedly represented BC's history had a bunch of people on snowboards (I kid you not) on a harness facing vertically on some column with a bunch of lights flashing. Ironically, the only part that could have genuinely represented involvement from the Native community in Canada's history as a Nation was the Prairies segment (Métis), and instead they had an Aryan boy with earrings on a harness.

This line sounds good at first but then you realize makes little sense.

I thought the entire intro was about aboriginals. I agree regarding the inukshuk.

Wow that K. D. Lang can sure sing. She was amazing. Too bad if you missed it because the IOC has copyright protection on it so you may not be able to find it on line but there are other versions of her singing it.
