I used to go to Atlanta quite often but it has been a while. A group of about 10 of us are taking my buddy to Atlanta for his bachelor party. He is in medical school so we'd love to give him a great time as he doesn't have any time at all for the most part to enjoy himself. We are going to be there Thursday-Monday of next week and will probably go to a strip club one of those nights. I have asked around and hear so many different opinions of which one we should go to. Any other advice of where we should go or what we could do would be greatly appreciated.

KBW, I go to Atlanta quite often for business. I don't frequent the strip clubs but the Cheetah is one of the most well known.
For a hoot go to the Clermont Lounge. It is a true dive. My wife and I went with several other couples this past fall. We had a great time. This is more bar than strip club, but you will get to see a variety of "talent" and this spot shouldn't be missed.
For a group in your age bracket, you should go to the bars and restaurants in the Virginia Highlands and also in Buckhead (the part of Buckhead near the intersection of Peachtree, Paces Ferry, and Pharr Road).
In Virginia Highlands the Hand in Hand pub is very popular. Check out City Search and Creative Loafing for other recommendations. It should be very easy to find some trouble while you are there.
Have fun.

I have never been to Atlanta, nor do I plan on visiting, but...
Best strip club you can go to:
[(Penthouse suite + strippers + booze - camera phones) x (at your discretion of course)] x booze = yes!
yes! > Strip Club with rules.
Proof: Strip Club with rules = no sex in the champagne room

Pink Pony was my favorite when I lived in Hotlanta -- less plastic and more girl-next-door type. There are a couple of dirty joints in the Cheshire Bridge area (real, dirty, gnd), but I suspect the OP won't like them as much as the Pink Pony. I never had fun at the Cheetah.

I recommend the Clermont . . . . Seriously, the Clermont would be a fun place to end your night, but it isn't really much of a "strip club." There are women taking their clothes off, but it's more of a kitschy thing - they aren't women you necessarily WANT to see naked. For pure strip-club fun, I'd go to Cheetah. Not too dirty, not too upscale - just right (con: expensive drinks, lots of bachelor parties so lots of guys getting stripped up on stage). Magic City is good if you want to see the odd NFL / NBA player "make it rain" and/or feel like you are in a Lil Wayne video (con: the strippers will probably ignore you) Goosebumps if you want "something extra." (con: AIDS, about a 30% chance you end up getting arrested in a sting)

There are plenty of strip clubs in Atlanta. The Pink Pony is fun on a Saturday but for a bachelor party I say go to the Cheetah. We went there last summer for a friend of mine's bachelor party and it was great. We told the bouncer why we were there and he hooked us up with VIP on the condition that we treat his girls well. It was a ton of fun.

Remember, the key to the bachelor party is in 1. the day and 2. the torment. You need to jam the day with good wholesome boy fun. Paintball, go karts, climbing, shit like that. That way, when you return, you have photos and stories to tell. Otherwise everyone asks, and someone shoots their mouth off. For the evening, well that's all about the accessories. Ive seen grooms to be piss their pants while still handcuffed to a pole. They should be dressed as a woman. SInce it is Chinese New Year, I suggest a qi bao. We also once brought along a ton of random shit from dollar stores, put it in a basket, and made the groom walk table to table selling our junk to women in a club to pay our bar bill. Everytime he returned with some money, we gave him a shot. Except for the times we gave him a line of smashed up e
These are the kinds of things that make an evening....the city is irrelevant (but i highly recommend Phnom Penh!).
