I know SF favors subdued sleepy stodgy looks for the most part, but I like this jacket (fabric at least). Not for every day occaisions, but spring time country club bruch etc. It's fun an upbeat.

The overall look/person is way overkill, of course.

Fabric is nice. But the whole custume is clownish.

It's a bit silly to got that far. Take away the sweater over the shoulders and it's no more than a little too bright and matchy for mainstream SF tastes but quality all the same and evident of plenty of understanding of how to dress.

Most creepy sartorial photos probably contain one or two wearable items of clothing.

That doesn't invalidate the photos' creepiness.

There is a difference between comically affected and creepy.

This one would be more complete with a leather apron.

That's not where I got them from, actually.

But generally, "creepy" to me implies some level of menace. For a fit to be creepy it needs to evoke the image of a victim or potential aggressor of some sort.

I agree and the ones you posted do meet that criteria of unintentional menace. But I think more than a few of the 'creepy' pictures posted here actually say more about the poster's personal fears (just that little bit homophobic or racist, for example) or just plain ignorance of the range of men's style, rather than something we'd all generally agree was creepy. Anyway, I won't labour the point. It's pretty obvious when you look through the thread.

Is this creepy enough?
