I don't think anyone is surprised about France crashing out in the first round again.

Embarrassing. On the upside, there's no way Domenech will ever coach France again after this. The French commentators claimed that France's situation was "extremely serious but not hopeless." And here I thought they were a cynical people.

I actually love the Univision broadcasts for the US national team. the announcers are genuinely into the US team and know them inside out and are equally excited as any latin american team whenever the US scores. Even if its in spanish its more fun to watch compared to espn.

Domenech should make Abidal (#3) take the bus back to France after his play today.

On the first goal, he literally ran away from the nearest man (Hernandez) to try and draw the offsides (a questionable non-call, I'll concede), and then stands there with his hand raised, whining like a little *****, rather than play it out... had the keeper blocked the initial shot, Hernandez would've gotten the uncontested rebound because Abidal's a *****. Or, had Abidal just stayed with his man in the first place, he could've made a play on the ball. THEN he makes the tackle giving Mexico a pk and their 2nd goal. PathÃ

tique!

That said, as poorly as Domenech has coached that team, did anyone else notice the black lambswool pea coat he was wearing? ...Baller as ****. (This is SF after all

As a Mexican who grew up watching the Galavision/Univision broadcasts, I'd take that any day of the week.

I do enjoy the more subtle English commentators...they do what they do well, but nothing beats a football match in Spanish.

Damn it. Couldn't see the game because I was in a meeting and the damn building got no cell service so ESPN wasn't coming in on my phone.

Gignac for Anelka? Valbuena for Govou (instead of Henry)? Henry riding pine the whole game?

Laurent Blanc was penciled in to replace him before the WC started.

Wondering if Domenech is beginning to feel stupid for not including Nasri and Benzema on this team?

Univision was cool when Andres Cantor used to work there. The guy they have now sounds like he's a lucha libre commentator. He knows very little about international soccer and he's a clown. I only watch Univision when the Argentine commentators are on, otherwise it's ESPN and the boring Englishmen who constantly remind us how poor and war ravaged the African and South American countries are.

I wonder how the FFF let him stay on despite the fact that everyone knows that it was Zidane who rescued the 2006 team in qualifying and led them to the final in Germany.
