freddy adu's biggest mistake was not signing for inter milan when he was 12 or 13? if he had gone there he would have come back to reality and been just one of many prodigies instead staying in the u.s. and having people tell him he was a god.

The thing about Univision is that they're about 5 seconds late on everything compared to ESPN.

At work, we have 4-5 HDTVs in one room, and we get to watch the games. Someone changed one of the TVs to watch the Germany-Ghana game on Univision, and their cheers came 5 seconds late.

By using race as the lone indicator of diversity, you ignore other important indicators of diversity. If you want to look at how diverse the two cities are, you should probably account for things such as national origin instead of race alone.

So, if you look at the percentage of foreign born population, yeah, LA destroys the national average. But I blame that on all the Canadians working in Hollywood.

Seattle is still well above the national average in this category. And we lead the nation in multiethnic/multiracial people.

I loved watching the local news in Mexico City after a big game, they would pull up a graph and some numbers and say this is how much productivity we lost around game time. Usually 20 to 30%

As someone whose ancestry is half-Italian (for whatever perspective that is worth), I agree. I still remember how saddened I was when they were knocked out on penalty kicks in 1990 -- I can still picture Scilacci, the quiet assassin of a striker, sitting stunned on the ground after the shoot-out ended before he even got to take a shot.

Since then, however, they have managed to consisently alienate me over time with their flopping, diving, and other antics.

Because I read his bio, and I follow soccer and know just about all the "good" players. Nice try though.

Well, I guess we are pretty much out too..

Why were put in this mess
Is anybody's guess
It might be a test or it might not be anything
You need to worry about
But if you're still in doubt
Go and knock yourself out
