It's like twitter for already established connections and user base. But there seems to be no "public" option. I like it better though.

it's like the status of gtalk or facebook, but with more space available and its integrated into gmail.

Integration is always a good thing.

I'm waiting for Google to integrate Wave into Gmail. Now that'd be the schitnitz!

Here's to hoping this kills facebook. I hate facebook, all it's stupid suggestions and invitations and applications and layout changes. We need a 'mature' Internet user social networking app where you don't have to actively click 'hide' to stupid Farmville shit. Twitter is OK sometimes, but I just use it to follow comedians. It is just a lot simpler to have one page open for Gmail/Gchat/Social Networking. Between search, Gmail, Gchat, Picassa, and Youtube, Buzz could have me on lockdown. Plus, Buzz has a lot of potential with Google maps. Restaurants could post their specials, venues could post their events, all you'd have to do is look around. You can only see this with droid/iphone right now though, I think.

As of yet I fail to see any advantage. I am now 'following' some people I have never heard of. Why is that? And they share stupid stuff with me. I don't even look at our national 'facebook' for that kind of personal info. Buzz sucks. [/old fogy]
